The ability to allow an employee’s ‘Peer’ to score, rate or rank their idea can be very valuable feedback, contributing to a crowd based assessment of an idea’s quality and chances of success.

Peer-based scoring is sometimes used in isolation as the primary method of assessing the concept, in other implementations it’s used as a supplementary piece of evidence for a review team or a sponsor in how to feel about the likely success of a specific concept.
