HYPE Innovation is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in executing our paid ads strategy, driving high-performing initiatives to improve the return on our marketing investment and grow leads and revenue from digital campaigns and automated workflowsIn this role, you will have full ownership of several marketing channels in order to maximize performance with your own budget. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical, data-driven self-starter who enjoys devising hypotheses, creating test plans, and iterating based on data-backed insights. You enjoy creating reporting, dashboards, and analytical insights to the digital business on marketing channels, site funnel, and overall sales and profit growth.

Our software offers organizations dedicated products to drive innovation from early trend scouting to partner relationship management and idea generation all the way to innovation portfolio management. We love working closely with our clients, and to do that, we've spread ourselves around the world. HYPE has offices and employees across the globe, with our European headquarters in Bonn, Germany. This job is currently remote, but once it is safe, we will offer a remote-hybrid option for you to work in our Boulder, Colorado office or at home. Because of that, we are looking for a candidate in the Boulder or Denver metro area but will consider a fully remote option for the right candidate.


In this role, you'll get to:

  • Analyze business data from our marketing and sales CRM and derive strategies for improved marketing automation and better targeting. Implement those strategies with the help of the team.
  • Generate and communicate clear, compelling, and actionable insights.
    Own SEO and data-driven online marketing.
  • Optimize and expand existing marketing channels, as well as launch and test new ones.
  • Take the lead in driving the most relevant English-speaking HYPE pages (website, landing pages, blog articles) to the top of SERPs. We will mutually agree on what are the keywords that we want to increase our ranking for.
  • Oversee PPC campaigns, monitoring investment, and improving performance.
  • Act as our HubSpot admin.
  • Become Chief Prosecutor for copy that is not SEO-optimized. That means you’ll make sure that all copy – website texts, items for download, blog articles etc., – gets the right keywords to match its purpose for the buyer’s journey. You don’t have to review all copy yourself, but you are in charge to push your colleagues to do it.
  • Maintain a close collaboration (i.e., meet regularly) with social media and content colleagues for seamless and optimized production.
  • Contribute to the HYPE Innovation blog (when applicable).

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 2+ years of experience in B2B marketing (familiarity with B2B metrics preferred).
  • Understands data analysis.
  • Has proficiency in Excel (required): Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF formulas are your friends. 
  • Has hands-on expertise with Google Adwords and LinkedIn ads. 
  • Has comfortable in Hubspot (you understand how workflows work, how to change contact properties, build dashboards, reports).
  • Is experienced with SEO best practices (both on-page and technical SEO) 
    Enjoys copywriting – you will work closely with the content manager to optimize content.
  • Typically makes decisions using rational arguments and data, rather than gut feeling.
  • Has a collaborative mindset.
  • Is a team player, but you don’t need anyone to hold your hand. You dig yourself into a challenge, but if you need help, you ask for it before it is too late.
  • Is ready to work in an international environment. You like working with different cultures, and you're flexible with having an online meeting before regular work hours (within reasonable limits, of course).
  • Is ready to travel once it's safe again (national and international) if the need occurs. While traveling is not a regular activity for this position, you will have the opportunity to visit your German colleagues if you'd like.

  • As the HQ is based in Germany, you have the opportunity, not the duty, to travel. If there is a business reason, you can come over for the job and add vacation days to travel Europe.
