HYPE Innovation has joined the newly established Institute of Innovation Management (IIM) as a Founding Partner, supporting the development of globally recognized innovation management practices that position innovation as a disciplined, professional business function.

The Institute of Innovation Management was launched to address the persistent lack of standardized practices in innovation. By aligning with the ISO 56000 series of international standards, the IIM provides organizations with a structured framework to move beyond innovation theater and toward repeatable, measurable business outcomes.

"Most innovation teams operate under real constraints, including budgets, delivery expectations, and executive oversight," said Frank Henningsen, CEO of HYPE Innovation. "Our involvement in the Institute of Innovation Management is about helping bring more consistency to how that work is structured and guided."

 

As part of the Institute’s founding group, HYPE will contribute to:

  • Defining professional standards through enterprise experience in innovation management frameworks
  • Equipping practitioners with practical tools and accreditation to lead innovation programs with confidence and credibility
  • Accelerating global adoption by leveraging an international footprint across industries and regions

The Institute of Innovation Management serves as a collaborative hub for researchers, practitioners, and technology providers. By professionalizing the Innovation Manager role, the Institute aims to improve the success rate of innovation initiatives and drive sustainable economic impact.
