AI Opportunities & Challenges: Effective Governance and Delivering Real Value

AI is no longer an experiment. It is becoming core to how many organizations operate. Yet many companies remain caught between running pilots and delivering real impact. The challenge is not the technology itself, but governance, coordination, and change.

Join Colin Nelson, alongside Gavin McClafferty from Subsea7 and John Toon from HLB, for a fireside conversation focused on real-world experience from their organizations as AI scales. The discussion will explore how AI campaigns are progressing toward production-ready initiatives, how measurable benefits are being realized, and how governance challenges are being addressed along the way.

This session focuses on what worked, what did not, and what needs to change as AI moves beyond experimentation.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How organizations turn AI campaigns into production-ready initiatives
  • How ideas are converted into measurable impact, including multi-million-dollar benefits
  • How organizations grapple with the challenges of governance
  • Why AI must be treated not as a tool problem, but as a change management challenge
